PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS - THIS SUNDAY
On Sunday, December 14th, from the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy to 12:30pm in the Small Hall, we will hold our Election for Parish Council. Members of the Election Committee will officiate. After 12:30pm, the Election Committee will retire to count the ballots in the presence of the priest. The candidates running for Parish Council are (in alphabetical order): John Kouretas, Angeliki (Angie) Markolefas, Nektarios Matheou, Nick J. Pagonis, Stacy Panayotopoulos, Pete Panos, George Paplos, Vicki Ryan, Nicholas Taptelis, and Nick Tsolis.

Eligibility to vote is based on the below voter requirements and deadline dates:
1. A parishioner in good standing and enrolled in the Parish Record.

As we come upon the Christmas holidays, it is time to start planning for our parish’s joyous tradition of greeting one another through the mailing of our Community Christmas Card.

Paper forms have already been mailed out, and you can mail back the paper form to the church office with the names spelled clearly as you would like them to appear on the card, OR you can submit your entry online today by clicking on the link: https://saintnicholas.org/christmas_card

Sunday, October 5, 2025 is National Church Music Sunday. For over 40 years, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America has designated the first Sunday of October as National Church Music Sunday. On this day we honor and celebrate the contributions of Church Musicians from throughout the parishes of our Archdiocese. The National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians is the Archdiocesan ministry responsible for liturgical music activities and the development, support, and recognition of church musicians. These include choirs, chanters, youth church music programs, and clergy.

AN INVITATION TO HOST COFFEE HOUR
As part of our revitalized coffee hour program, we’re calling on all ministries, organizations, and our parishioners (individually or in teams!) to sign up to host one or more coffee hours over the course of the year. We’ll supply the coffee/ cream/ sugar, tablecloths, napkins, utensils – and you supply the goodies (pastries, donuts, bagels, small sandwiches, fruit/ vegetable/ cheese platters or other similar items). A public event, Viva CalleSJ, will be happening in San Jose this Sunday, September 7th with some streets closing for event near the church. Please reference the website https://www.vivacallesj.org to see the event and road closure map.

WARM COAT DRIVE - OCTOBER
St. Nicholas Goya and St. Anna Philoptochos will once more be having a warm coat drive. We will have containers in the Small Hall and in the Community Cccccenter for your most welcomed and needed donations.

The Drive will begin on September 1st and end on October 31st and it will benefit the San Jose Family Center.
